About Emma Smith

Emma Smith, LCSW-A

Emma Smith (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) in the Greater Hope Counseling team. From a young age, she has felt called to walk alongside others in their mental health journeys, offering support, compassion, and guidance through life’s challenges, which led her to pursue a career in mental health. Emma earned her undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University and continued her education at the University of North Carolina Wilmington where she completed her Master of Social Work.

Emma is excited to begin working with a clinical focus on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related disorders, particularly within the pediatric population. She is passionate about the mind-body connection and hopes to integrate somatic and holistic approaches into her therapeutic practice. Outside of her clinical work, Emma enjoys baking, reading, and spending time with her two cats.
