Mae FitzGibbon, MSW, LCSW-A

Mae FitzGibbon (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSW-A) with Greater Hope Counseling. Maegan earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She has experience providing individual, group, and family counseling in the inpatient and outpatient settings with adults across the lifespan.

Mae enjoys working with clients facing a variety of challenges, including OCD, life transitions, anxiety, depression, identity development struggles, and trauma. She also has experience supporting individuals with chronic illness and substance use disorders.

Mae takes a non-judgemental and collaborative approach to counseling, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Narrative Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT). She is committed to building a safe environment for clients to feel heard and move forward.

In her free time, Mae enjoys traveling, writing, crafting, and spending time with loved ones.
