FAQ

Yes! My focus in OCD extends out to OCRDs such as anxiety, ADHD, ASD, and the broad spectrum of neurodivergence. I have experience working with many different presenting challenges within the scope of neurodivergence and outside of it. I believe treatment should be flexible and tailored to each individual client’s traits, needs, and goals, regardless of diagnostic labels.

My goal is for you to get what you want and need out of therapy. If a diagnosis is not part of that, that is fine! I use diagnoses as a tool to best treat mental health challenges you are experiencing and while labels can be helpful, this is not always the case, and I understand that.

I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating and overwhelming. Because of this I strive to create a nonjudgmental, supportive environment and dedicate time to build trust at a pace that feels comfortable to you. I view the client as an expert in their life and approach therapy as a collaborative effort to get you to where you want to be.

That’s completely okay and actually very common. Piecing together what is going on in your mind can be extremely difficult and feel nearly impossible. I start by getting a full picture of who you are and the symptoms you may be experiencing to create a treatment plan that resonates and feels good to you. I incorporate a variety of evidence-based practices including ICBT, MI, ACT, and ERPT which allow us to tackle complex challenges you experience effectively.

I have clinical experience in a variety of different settings and have worked with children and adults. I have experience as a Registered Behavior Technician implementing applied behavior analysis with children on the Autism spectrum to aid in social learning and behavioral change. I also have experience in counseling adults of various ages in emotional regulation, life transitions, coping skills, and many other life challenges.
